On October 11, a hearing was held at the Seoul Central District Court in Seocho-gu, Seoul, regarding Min Heejin’s request for an injunction to convene an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders at ADOR and to reappoint the inside director.
During the hearing, Min Heejin's side presented verbal arguments, stating, "According to pages 9 and 10 of the attached materials, an internal HYBE employee reported that the creative director of ILLIT requested a project proposal for NewJeans from the planning stage and that ILLIT's proposal is identical to NewJeans' proposal."
They added, "The informant delivered the materials at the request of the ILLIT creative director, but expressed discomfort with the claim by Belift Lab that the plagiarism allegations are false, saying, 'I never imagined they would make it exactly the same. It seems like all the identical materials were submitted to the court; why do they keep denying it after referencing everything?'"
Min Heejin’s side continued, "Despite the clear facts, Belift Lab continues to deny the plagiarism allegations, and HYBE has neglected this. Former CEO Min Heejin raised internal concerns about ILLIT's copy of NewJeans on April 3, which has been clearly validated by objective evidence. HYBE responded to Min Heejin's internal concerns with an audit, but this has further confirmed that HYBE’s audit was an illegal audit lacking legitimacy."
